Does this happen on one string, all strings, some strings? Always at the same point up the fingerboard, or all positions? If it is at the same general position then mark the side of the neck at that p ...

Looking at your 1st picture on page one, at 400 zoom, your number one chinrest is sitting on top of the tailpiece. Could the tailpiece be knocking against the chinrest? You need clearance there. I've ...

I would not suggest any beginner adjust, remove, insert or move a soundpost. This soundpost is in the right general area, If there are no cracks or creases in the tables in the area of the soundpost, ...

I don't think it's ever happened to me.

Scott
I am sure, but you know that the soundpost is inside the body and you deal in accordance with that.

Yes, spudchucker should check his soundpost and ...

Yep, I see the soundpost at the third picture. If it is still there after all bridge on-off, strings on-off etc manipulation, then it was fitted too tight.[/quote]

Sorry, I can't agree wi ...

During all this surgery described before, what happened with the soundpost? Is there soundpost at all? Beside, the south side of the bridge should not be convexed - It should be flat and perpendicular ...

Check your PM.

Some use superglue to fill at the nut and to strengthen the bridge notch, never worked for me. If the string fits deep in the notch, lightly sand or file the top again till its not ...

Yeah, that bridge is in the ballpark now. There's not too many times that a bridge can be re-used like that. Your A and E string notches may be too deep. If you were fitting a new bridge from scratch, ...
