Probably not much endangered wood in a violin, although there is ebony and some of that is endangered, depending on which variety it is, and how it was purchased. Could be some in rosewood pegs.

Which plans are you referring to, when you say, you saw some odd things, the Ashmolean plans or the ones Dave has?
