In our area, I saw a used Eastman Cello for about $1500 on
Craigslist, a Strunal for about $1,000 and I played a $2500 European
Cello which was very nice. Equivalent violins are way less money, but ...

I'll check out strings4sale.com. I am an extremely rudimentary
violinist - just starting out, but really enjoying myself, which is what
this is all about!

Hi,

I was thinking of purchasing an unvarnished Cello to save money and
varnish it myself etc... Does anyone know who sells these and what is
the cost for an instrument that sounds fairly good? ...
