Recently I have had a couple of bows that when the hair is tightened, the tightening gets hard because the frog gets too tight to the stick.
What do you do to fix this?
Cheers, Mat

Hi Mat,

They're a few probable causes you could investigate:

- The eyelet maybe in to far. Most of the tight frogs I found had this problem.

- The eyelet is inserted at an angle.

- The underslide and/or bow stick maybe damaged, bent or tilted causing uneven surfaces.

- The mortise maybe obstructing the eyelet.

Perhaps closer observation may reveal the uneven forces at play.

You could also apply some wax for lubrication.
