Is it difficult to tune a violin with two tuner pegs instead of four? It obviously is not an expensive violin, however they do make them that way. I'm not sure why. It does not make sense to me unless it is some kind of a joke.

GligaLeftHand, I assume you are writing about the "fine tuners" on the violin. The reason why some violins have four fine tuners is for ease of tuning. It is more difficult to tune with the pegs as opposed to the fine tuners. This has to do with the string material. Steel strings are difficult to tune in small increments using the peg. Most professionals use only one fine tuner because of vibration dampening. The more fine tuners that are present on the instrument, the more they inhibit sound.
