After gluing the belly back on a violin, how long do you usually
wait, before stringing it up for playing? |

If you are using a good quality hide glue, one day should do it, if not too humid. I have done it in less time but, prefer to wait a day.
Is this an instrument in the white or in for a repair?

It was in for repair. I usually wait for 24 or more hours, but this
was a rush job, and I only waited for about 12. It was done with
a good quality hide glue, hot, and a little on the thin side.
Oh well, if it seperates, I can do it over, and will have learned
something. |

12 hours is more than enough as long as there wasn't 100% humidity.
IIRC fresh hyde glue ( hot not bottled) is cured in 2 hours.
