Do any of you use inside bevel gouges for carving the scroll?

My opinion is that aside from shaping the corner blocks, inside-bevel gouges are totally useless for everything.

my boss/ friend has a saying,
you can use your teeth as long as you get the proper results!

inside bevel gouge might not be the best to carve a scroll but it will work as long as you are familiar with, adn can controll your tool.

I recently used an inside bevel gouge recently to help fit a partial block replacement on a double bass.
that being said, I have never used one on a scroll.

And I bet that in spite of saying that, your friend does NOT use his teeth to carve violins.
