Hello all,
I live in Omaha, NE. I'm the Violin Maker in Residence at A. Cavallo Violins there, and sometimes, I travel out to Bryn Mawr, PA, to work at our satellite shop. I'm there, now, in fact, and the sun has decided to show itself for the first time all week. And me without a white instrument to feed to it!
I studied at the VMSA in Salt Lake, and then learned restoration and repair for a few years at Peter Prier's shop next door.
I hope one day to make exclusively, but I would miss the restoration. It's fulfilling, to restore an instrument that will outlive my children, if not theirs.
I look forward to being part of what seems to be a thoughtful, helpful community here.
Thanks,
Christopher Jacoby _________________ I could have carved a scroll by now.

Thanks, CT.
I have to admit, I followed you here when you said it was a place you could express yourself without some of the... jackassery... inherent in other places. I am glad to see you were right. _________________ I could have carved a scroll by now.
