Hi there I'm new to this forum and to restoring some old Violin bows that I have, I was looking for a Bow Jig for re-hairing, I'm in the UK does anyone know of a supplier in the UK? Question

There are designs available to build one yourself... And not everyone even uses one.

Do you know where I can get the plans? As I say I'm new to this and need a bit of help, I think a Jig might help as I'm all fingers and thumbs at the moment.

Take a look at Lynn Hannings' head and frog holders, and then look at Brad Dorsey's. You may decide you don't really want a one-piece jig, after you see these.

Well...here is one very simple design, for a start:

There are some that are very complex...one used to be on the Musictrader website, but seems to have been removed. There are others, though.
