I will be going to look at a supposidly Swedish made violin. My relative
said she remembered that it 's maker name staarted with S. She knows
nothing about violins. She said it had a chunk brolen out of the top plate
in the lower bout- it sounded like outboard of the purfling maybe. she
said it appeared old -
It is under 200 $
I thought it might be good to practice doing repairs on. (if nothing else)
I googled for swedish made vilins but got nothing.
Anyone heard of a swedish maker maybe from the turn of century to maybe the 1950 or 60's that the name started with "S" ??????????

I will see it in a few days !
