Hi,

I've got a violin once owned by my grandfather. He got it from his friend so the instrument is 200 years old (or even more). Recently I looked inside and found out a label informing it's Maggini's instrument. According to internet research I did the violin is a replica. But still I don't know if it's French or German, how old it can be in fact or what value it has.
Does anyone can help me?

Text on the label: "Giovan paolo Maggini, brefcia 16"
Label's picture <here>

I don't wanna sell it, it's a priceless family heirloom to me.
