I have always played guitar/bass lefty and am serious about playing the violin. Should I stay lefty or switch to righty? I found this site.....................http://www.violinslover.com/lefthandedviolins4_4.php
and would like your opinion on this question. Thanks.

.. that all violinist hold their violins on their left shoulder, meaning you bow with your right.. However, that was a textbook and it was probably pertaining to classical violinists only.
So far, the only people I've seen (in pictures) holding the violin the other way are fiddlers.. |

Thanks. I'm taking the plunge and going to learn the correct /standard way of playing righty. I received my violin and have a lesson scheduled for next Tuesday. I'll let you know how things work out. Thanks again.
