Saddened to hear of Craig's passing. He had a positive influence on my life. His knowledge and wit and humor and encouragement will be missed. We talked on the phone once, and he invited me to his place. My "bucket list" included a visit to his home and shop. We will meet someday, but not in Arizona.

So sorry to hear this: we chatted a few times on the phone, and many times online. Good man gone...

Craig and I corresponded a few times by email and spent an enjoyable afternoon on the phone discussing various topics on violin making and life in general. Craig was a generous person and will be missed. Deepest condolences to his family.

I saw the posts over at maestronet as well. The thing I most appreciated about Craig was that he didn't make a guy feel stupid . He willingly shared knowledge and if you didn't quite get it, he'd kindly explain it another way. A genuinely nice guy. He will be missed.

Sad to hear this. Although a relative new-comer, you cannot read very in the old posts without seeing (and enjoying) his regular contribution.
