Hi Michael! You've mentioned in the past, about initial neck dropping, that:
"It's possible to eliminate most of this initial drop, by very careful design, but it's something most makers haven't bothered to worry about."

The most important thing, I think, is the shape of the arch coming off the upper block, under the board. It's good to keep it a relatively straight line, at whatever upward angle is appropriage, not puffy rounded. |
