Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for a company or individual that cuts moulds and templates for violins.
Thanks,

Surely someone who contemplates making a violin should be able to cut a flat board into the shape of one, first? STRAD magazine sells some very nice posters with all of the basic data you need to make a violin, including making the templates and forms. You'll find that part of it much easier than the violin, so don't hesitate. :-) |

Mr. Darnton,
I'm humbled that you would reply to my post. I've admired your website and work for some time, even went so far as to enquire on the price of your violins (9K at that time). If I had a little foresight it would have been a better investment than my stock on Wall Street...
With your vote of confidence I'm going to trace out and cut my own mould.
Thanks,
Mark |
