When I was 10 or so I took violin and piano lessons, but was more interested in playing baseball. At 36 picked up an instrument again to accompany my daughter to Suzuki sessions. Her interests being elsewhere, we lasted only a semester, but I continued to teach myself fiddle tunes for a while until I lost my violin (long story). Now, at 65, I've been given a new, cheap violin. Haven't played it yet. Need answers to some questions first, which I will post separately.
Looking forward to seeing what I can do with this long-beloved instrument, considering the aches and pains of aging....and very happy to have discovered this forum. |
