Hello, as you can probably guess, I'm new here. I've been playing piano for 7 years, and decided to start violin up just recently. Though I've had my violin 4 years, I have not been motivated to pick it up until now.
Can't wait to start learning more

Hello Sky,
I started off with piano as well. Many violinist know piano as a second instrument for learning music theory. What sort of music do you play or are interested in? What are you working on now?
Welcome to the forum and I look forward to hearing from you. |

Hi,
I like to play Classical, and might start some Christian Contemporary. I'm really not playing anything right now, I'm having trouble turning tuning my violin, so I've been messing with that.
The problem is, I can read all the violin music I've found, but I am not skilled enough with the violin to play the music I have found. So I'm doing it slowly, and teaching myself.
Thank you

Hello Sky,
I just finished and released a complete 6-page violin tuning guide here:
http://www.violins.ca/info/how_to_tune_a%20_violin.html
Since it is my first thorough treatment of a particular subject, I would appreciate your feedback as I have not received any feedback yet. I hope you find it helpful. |
