Hi!,
My name is Tony. I started learning the violin about 5 years ago. Two years later I had an accident unloading a canoe on a portage, the yoke caught in my pfd and did a number on my neck. My physio guy said that was the end of my violin playing days. After discussing it with my teacher I took up the cello which I am still learning to this day and am really enjoying it. Not being able to read music at all when I started the violin made it doubly challenging. Now that I am retired I have more time to devote to the learning process.
A few years ago I also got into doing stringed instrument repairs and set-up etc which I enjoy doing very much.
Well I think Ive rambled on enough already.
I look forward to some good discussions and learning and maybe even offering some bits of info.
Thanks...Tony |

Hello Tony,
Welcome to the forum and thanks for introducing yourself. There is plenty of information on the forum on violin playing and making/restoration.
Please feel free to ask as many questions or post feedback (yes, I would enjoy your "bits of info" as well). There are many helpful violin makers on the forum.
