I run a cabinet making shop and have stored some very curly maple for about 6years.I have only used wood that is been air dried for violin making in the past, some of it cut in the mid eighties. The maple I hve been storing was kiln dried but is suitable in dimension and hardness for instruments, slab sawn for one piece backs and lower ribs, all else being equal would the kiln dying make this wood unusable?

There's no reason not to use it.
