Whats up? Well, I'm a 35 year old geek who is attracted to the unusual and was searching for a project for my website. Back when I was in high school I attempted to learn how to play a guitar and thought there is my next project. I should build a guitar While surfing through Youtube a few days ago I came across a video of Keith Richards playing this see through Les Paul and new that my guitar should be acrylic. Then I came across a guy who built an acrylic glowing electric violin. WHAT! Violins are electric now. cool!! Never thought of myself as a violin person. Why not, so instead of building a guitar I will build an electric violin. As I have never touched a violin before, maybe acrylic would be too advanced for me. So, I'm starting with a straight up 2x4. Would it even be possible to use a 2x4 for a neck through design? Could someone get a 2x4 made of maple? Well, anwhoo Glad I found this forum and hope I won't drive everyone nuts with a bunch of questions. |

Cryp: Give it a shot, at least you're not taking up surgery and looking for volunteers! _________________ Dave in the Blue Ridge
