Hello,
I'm a university student on an unrelated degree, but I still play violin whenever possible, or when I need to clear my head. A dead cheap bow I owned broke recently, and I do have a rather nice spare, but I've been wanting to buy a much nicer bow for a while now, and I have been browsing around online. I was hoping a few of you here might have experience with any of these bows, or even suggestions.

Regarding the 5 options in the poll above, the following are links to the respective bows:
Westbury VB050

Antoni ASB44

Concertante

Valentino VB-400

Stentor 1264X

I would greatly appreciate and constructive comments/opinions on these, I was hoping to buy one in the coming few days. I'm interested in any bows ranging between £40-100 in price if needed, as long as the quality is worth it!

Regarding what kind of music I'm interested in, I've been spending quite some time now going through a lot of Bach, especially Bach's chaconne and Allemande.

Thank you in advance.
James

I would have to try each and every one. That would be the only way because there is only one that is the right one, or perhaps maybe two.
