I bought this violin last year: http://www.amazon.com/ViolinSmart-44NW-Full-Size-Violin/dp/B0007KPI2S/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1346087632&sr=1-2&keywords=Violinsmart

I was just wondering if this is a good student model. I'm an experienced musician just looking to expand my repertoire of instruments. I've been playing it for several months with no problems. I've heard horror stories about VSOs sold online, and want to know if I'm using an appropriate "student" model. It's worked out fine for me-though I had to get a better bow and rosin.

Thanks! Smile

If you like it, why worry over it? It worked for you.

Just remember, in the world of real violins, a peg or two (of well fit ebony) will cost about that much, so be aware that it is a very cheap starter violin, and probably will need very much work fairly soon.
