Just got an email from John saying that the said tools are not yet produced. Only a batch were made as prototypes/testers/proof of concept.

cheers,

Yes, that's what I understood. He said they were being tested by some "top notch bow makers." So, SooT, you and your daughter are pretty highly regarded!

I, on the other hand, identify strongly with Mr. Brown in this video.

Yeah, that's how he phrased it in my email too. I just didn't want to put SooT on the spot here Smile Now that the cat's out of the bag, maybe SooT can post some photos of these devices.

cheers,

Oops. Hope I didn't get John into trouble. We haven't unpacked tools yet, so I'll ask John permission before I post pics.

He was kind enough to put up with me bugging him about the Bow Butt Drill because we were moving to UK from USA and didn't want to get into trouble with the customs people. I will say, if John designed and made it, then it is good, all the other offerings are expensive, but superbly designed and work extremely well.

John is a craftsman for sure.

Perhaps I should mention that I didn't mention any names in my query, or say something rude, like, "That's not fair!" Smile

But I wanted to!
