Anyone interested in making of basses or bass bows should try to be at the convention in Rochester NY next week! I will be there, showing off some of my recent bows, and so will Christopher Brown, the well known bow specialist.
Here's the convention: http://isbconvention.com/
And here is the facebook page that my daughter Laura kindly made for me: https://www.facebook.com/manliusviolins
I hope to see someone (anyone!) there!

Look for Matthew Tucker, my friend from Oz. He will be displaying a magnificent new double bass he just completed. Tell him hello for Chet Bishop. _________________ Chet Bishop

Will do Chet. But I don't see his name on the list of exhibitors. Is he entering the bass in the luthiers' competition perhaps? |

I suppose he must be. I know nearly nothing about it. I have seen a photo of the bass...as well as photos of his earlier work. Good guy. good maker. I hope he does well in the competition.
