Hi Everyone, I'm considering though not completely sold as of yet on using GE black light (UV A) to cure the varnish. Any thoughts? I know that I could use sunlight, but I would like to use the night as well. Just want to pick up the right bulbs-if I do go that route.
Cheers.

It is very convenient to have a drying box. The black lights aren't fast but they work.

cold sun is the best but if you don't have that, the uv does work, and fairly cheap to make a light box.

Thank you for the input. Would I want uv A or B wavelength? Does anyone know of a brand and model number? Cheers.

BLB (common black light) bulbs found in big box stores work fine. Four 18 or 24 inch bulbs in a box or trash can will be enough for a couple of fiddles or violas. Tanning and germicidal UV bulbs also work but are potentially more hazardous to vision and many say don't work any better than black lights. I think Mr Molnar has done some comparisons. Perhaps he will comment.
