Hi, first post here, hope it's ok. I bought an older fiddle yesterday and would like any information about it that anyone would be willing to give. It has two labels inside, one reads:

Paul SaFran & Sons

String Makers

474 N. 8th St.

Phila. Penn

The Other label reads:

Copy of

Josef Guarnerius

Fecit E. Rinhold Schmidt

Marknavklrchen Saxony

Schmidts Standard

Made in Germany

Lightly stamped beneath the labels are:

E<>R<>S

The case has a label that reads:

Lifton
