Hi, I'm Steve and I'm not exactly a violinist, but I often times come across vintage items while scouring for vintage guitars. When I do I usually pass on them, but I found one in a 'free' box that's really old and (IMHO) very interesting!
It's a violin from 1764... but its real rough shape! It says 'Testore' and a bunch of other first/last names and has a stamp from an old repair. It's unplayable, I'm going to post pics later maybe if it's anything anyone might find interesting. It's literally in pieces though!
Maybe someone could use the old parts? Seems like a shame to burn it, but that's where it's looking like it might end up! |
