If a fabulous violinist asked you what (unaccompanied) encore piece you would like him to play for you, what piece would you ask for?

Similarly, if you could ask Perlman or your favorite soloist, to record a CD just for you, what would you want on it?

as of now (and these things go through stages), i would have Hilary Hahn play the Bach Chaconne for me.

i love her version. she plays it so to-the-note overall that when she changes the smallest thing it makes a big difference
