Hello everyone! This is my first post. Not sure if this is the right category. I bought 11 bows from a guy so I could practice re-hairing, and doing all other bow-like things that I could do to them to help gain experience. I am starting a repair business and want to include bow re-haring.

Did my first one today and it actually came out ok. Took a long time, and certainly need to improve some things, but totally useable and I am happy.

The bow I chose seemed pretty nice and it has the word Louis above the frog, and then the word Germany behind the frog. All I could find was reference to F.C Louis the German maker from Saabruken.

I'm not expecting it to be a handmade bow from such an esteemed maker, but was wondering if anyone had any comments or ideas about those markings.

Thanks in advance ... and I'm hoping to someday have enough experience and knowledge to be able to contribute meaningfully to this forum. For now, I will probably be asking a lot of questions. Thanks again!

Hey Oleg! Have a few pics of bow. Ready to upload but have to admit ... I'm pretty new here, and not sure how to do that. Apparently I can't upload directly, and need access to a public server?? Any tips on how that works? Thanks! Glenn.
