i all ready know I am Smile

This place is like those dried up old west towns that the railroad bypassed and the silver mine ran out and there is no whiskey---- and then Angle Eyes show up---- and some one has gone and insulted his mule---

It looks THAT dead----here......

i find refuge or sorts in violinmaking. My SF gunfighting teacher said it was good to be like Muschie--- to balance things out. Allow the artistic expression of beauty counterbalance the ideas of strife and battle with the sword.

though Im not slicing or shooting at the moment--- the counterbalance still works its magic. Spiritual counterbalancing to center the spirit. We may need more of that in the coming days.

I see you are in Chicago. i am in the quiet hills of east TN. You may need more balancing than me. Smile

Now I have to find a good free image hosting site. I see that we can't post images directly here.

Testing an image post. Hey that worked. I'm making a copy of Strad's P form. Copied from the CT scan on the Titian poster. I'll start a new thread as I progress in build number 2.

Awesome wood quality for a form. the eventual violin will be stunning!!... looking forward to more posts!

Yeah, sad to see this forum shrink in participation, but super thanks to Michael D for hanging in!

It's actually baltic birch plywood. I had some old curly maple veneer that I wasn't using so I veneered the form. Might as well make it look good.
I haven't worked on the violin in a while due to holidays and cold weather. I don't have a heater in my shop. I hope to get back to it soon and post more here.

Is Plade dead like playing dead as if you were acting. I suppose it`s legitimate to follow what is in the title question . Otherwise-----can we have the correction to the title ? Then it would be more intelligent and relevant to something .
I sometimes check to see if this forum shows up with something like Violin Forum but this forum does not show up as if it had a very complicated foreign name that was hard to spell . Even Fiddlerman with his daft cap gets more attention on the net .
A Forum is a message board . Why put that Message Board bit in .
The Forum title makes this forum Obscure on the net . Not dead ,just obscure ,opaque.almost invisible .
