For me, I'm hoping for a nice digital graduation caliper. My home-made job is just not that accurate for final graduations, and using the plain old metal outside calipers is very time consuming to check 20-30 points several times during the process.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas. _________________ Dave in the Blue Ridge

I've been pricing 24" joint planers, and unless Santa brings me one, I'm going to have to make my own. Found a nice plan

I wish Santa would bring me the gift to be a halfway decent violin
maker, and player. |

Well, thanks God I have everything I need to make violins, violas and celli, that is, books (more than a hundred, in Italian, English and French), tools, perhaps 50 violin wood sets, 20 viola sets, and 5 celli sets...
Now it's up to me, but even so I need Santa's help!!! Please send me more clients, they are never in excess (quod abundant non nocit!!!). _________________ www.manfio.com

Dave, I just saw the February issue of Fine Woodworking (I hope that was the right one!) and it had a real nice article on making a wooden plane. Check it out. |
