it depends on the guitar tuner...some will work and some won't.
I don't play guitar, so I can't tell you if tuning to it will work...it depends what octave the G,D,A, and E are in (of course, you could always tune to the same note in a different octaves)
The d on the violin is the d directly above middle C on the piano. G is a 5th lower, A is a fifth higher than d, and E is a fifth higher than A...perhaps that will help you figure out if tuning to your guitar will work.
When you tune your violin, does the string stay as the note you tuned it too? It could be that improperly fit pegs are the cause of your tuning problems. |
