My employee and I were scraping glue out of shadow lines in a set of stairs thismorning with freshly sharpened chisels when I heard " Lets get going!" from my employee. He had slipped with the chisel and drove it 1.5"s into his arm. Hitting an artery, blood began squirting all over the place! All over the stairs, floor and me! He acted quick and placed his other hand over the incision but the blood continued to squirt out past his fingers. Running down stairs to avoid making a mess of the place he found a towel the cleaners were useing and covered it up to stop the bleeding.
Lesson learnt today.......Be careful and dont let you staff use mums good chisels LOL!.... 2 hours, 6 stitches later after a trip to the emergency dept. we returned to the job.
Bones heal, chicks dig scares and skin grows back but your day is F%$#^d when your staff are out of order. |
