what do you folks listen to when you carve at your repective shops?
me...kinda everything
mehndelshon e min concerto {stern}
ellison qaurtet
hank williams junior 3
megadeath
for example
as i find this quite a interesting observation
certain music aids to certain tasks better than others...
bending ribs, requires peaceful music, while rough gouging requires the symphony of destruction |

I have a very eclectic taste in music.
If it is good I like it and listen to it.
recently it has been a lot of Ray Charles, vivialdi Flute Concertos, Led Zeppelin, Tchaikovsky, and a fantastic collection of Irish Fiddle music given to me By Jose, a Cuban /Puerto Rican American who recently moved to Israel and is studying irish fiddle in his spare time.

When I got my shop stereo a few years back, it was on full tilt ... now I find when i have serious production work, I need peace and quiet to concentrate! Quiet improves my focus and clarity... maybe I am getting too old to do two things at once... wish I were young like you !
Cheers, Mat |

I have to agree with Mat. I like piece and quiet.
I don't have a work shop nor have I really started working on any projects yet. But I never listen to the radio in my car, at work, at home..never. It stresses me out. Even talking about it I get worked up.
Last Christmas there was a contest to win ticket to a Trans Siberian concert. All you had to do was listen for (barking dogs) in between all the songs, and call. I gave up after 15 mins cause I couldn't take it. My husband thought it was funny and was laughing at me. It is funny now....but I was really worked up. And I never got to go anyways
If I do listen to music it's on CD's and once in a blue moon. And a huge variety, from Glen Miller to Celtic, Classic Rock, Gotta love those Blue Men, Native American, 30's & 40's, I could go on forever. But again most the time it's the birds, the wind in the trees and me with my thoughts that keep me sane. _________________ She could sing nothing but "Fiddle cum fee

Irish fiddle tunes non-stop. It's a sickness I have. _________________ Heaven reward the man who first hit upon the very original notion of sawing the inside of a cat with the tail of a horse.
