Hello Michael,

Welcome to the new board. I look forward to participating in great violin-related discussions; your presence here is appreciated.

I must confess that Michael's comment went over my head ... I could not even find a definition on Google ...

When Bill Frist was in trouble, on political blogs it became a joke for the first person to post in the comments section for an article to claim the first response by posting "Frist". Since I was making the first post on the whole of the new board . . .

OK then, I'll admit that posting off topic, even waaay off topic, doesn't bother me in the least, I was just being honery.

I like the look of this new format.

I'm here, although I have added a last initial to my name.
Wonder if using my full name will detract from my posts...

Hi Jack,

Welcome to the board. I can't see that there would be any problems, if there are we will deal with them.

For those that have been regular long-time members on the old board, send me a PM and I can upgrade your status to "Senior Member", if desired.

I appreciate the patience you have had with the old board, I was largely absent from it while Francois did the work of managing it (hats off to Francois). Now that the board is much improved, I hope to see the regular members register here, as well as new members.

There were over 2500 registered members on the old board (I think many of them were "bored" with the style, limitations, and login problems). Perhaps we can draw some of them back. As I stated in another post, we are #1 on Google for "violin forum", at least from my IP.

Should the board grow to the point of being difficult to manage for Francois and I, we may be accepting volunteers for moderators (who must be regular members, preferably with a history on this site). Perhaps there is a forum topic that is of interest to you that someone would like to moderate, we can also add forums if desired.

Happy posting.

I'm here, known as Wolfnote on other forums.

I'm sure the member list will grow. You built it and they will come.
