I know rehairs can be done starting with either the frog or tip first. I'm curious which you all start with.
Going along with that, if you start with the frog first, can you explain where you place the frog (when the hair is in place) to get the correct placement for tying the knot for the tip end? I learned to rehair tip first, but want to try the frog first. |

Becky,
I learned bow rehair, tip to frog, from Lynn Hannings. She teaches a technique that makes the tip to frog method seem like the only way to go. If I were to go frog to tip, I would place the frog in its mortise, all the way forward, and put the spreader wedge in last. _________________ Doug Wall

I do tip first although I learned to do frog first initially.
I find it a lot easier.
there are so many different methods.
frog first tip first wet dry spread wedge before tip knot, after tip knot, last..... |
